The Nigeria Premier League sides are proving their mettle as Enyimba on Saturday became the third Super 6 side to qualify for the Naija Super 8 competition.

Enyimba who won the NPL Playoff on Saturday beat local rivals, Heartland 1-0 thus joining Lobi Stars and Remo Stars in securing qualification.

But it is certain that not all the Super 6 clubs will make it to Super 8 as both Bendel Insurance and Rivers United have impending clash in which only one of the duo will survive.

Enyimba’s victory was made possible by the solitary goal by Murphy Ndukwe in the 25th minute.

Nigeria National League (NNL) side, Yobe Desert Stars of Damaturu, also qualified for the Naija Super 8 finals in Lagos, after winning their zonal play-off match 2-1 against Gombe United at the Eket Township Stadium on Saturday
