The Gombe Athletics Association is holding its first athletics grand prix at the Patani Stadium in Gombe on Tuesday.
The event is targeted at grassroot sports development in the state and is planned to involve all primary schools in Gombe State.
Seven events are on the card. They are the 100 metres for boys and girls as well as the 400 metres for both genders and also the long jump.
The seventh event is the 1,500 metres for the boys.
