Although Napoli’s president, Aurelio De Laurentiis last week claimed that Nigeria’s Victor Osimhen had agreed in principle to a two year extension, Manchester United manager,  Erik ten Hag remains a keen admirer of Osimhen after his superb season in Serie A.

Manchester United are reportedly set to enter a three-way battle with Liverpool and Chelsea for the signing of the Nigerian.

Napoli’s talisman scored a whopping 31 goals in 39 appearances as he helped secure Serie A for his club. However, according to a report in French publication, RMC Sports, Osimhen has his heart set on leaving the Italian giants this summer.

It is allso gathered that Napoli would listen to offers if they were too good to turn down.

Despite De Laurentiis being adamant about his club’s stance, Tavolieri claims Osimhen is on his way out of the club.

He added how United, Liverpool and Chelsea are all interested in his services but Napoli have the upper hand because of his contract not expiring until 2025.

The onus is now on the three Premier League heavyweights to submit bids which would be deemed acceptable by the Naples club.
