The Metropolitan of All House On The Rock and Convener of ‘The Experience’ concert, Pst Paul Adefarasin has said the concert’s 20th edition marks a historic moment for the nation, its creative industry and the global Christian community.
The all night worship experience which began 7:00p.m at the Tafawa Balewa Square, Lagos, featured a lineup of world-renowned worship leaders including Travis Greene, Chevelle Franklyn, Onos Ariyo, Beejaysax, Muyiwa Olarewaju, Israel Houghton, Dunsin Oyekan, Mike Aremu, Mercy Chinwo and Naomi Raine.
Others were :Chandler Moore, Adeyinka Alaseyori, Sinach, Frank Edwards, MrM &Revelation, Moses Bliss, Bidemi Olaoba, Lagos Metropolitan Gospel Choir(LMGC) and featuring for the first time is Tolu Odukoya and Gaise Baba.
Speaking earlier a press conference heralding the concert, Adefarasin described the concert’s two-decade journey as a simple idea executed with unwavering excellence, now grown into a global moment.
The cleric recalled how The Experience began as a vision for one night where music, excellence and community could live on the same stage, and has since become a symbol of unity for millions across the world.
He noted that every year since 2006, there is a moment, usually around midnight when he looks around and realises the gathering transcends music.
“Excellence is not magic; it is carefully arranged. It involves planning and accountability. It is young Nigerian professionals demonstrating, year after year, that when the environment is suitable, we perform at world-class levels.”he said.
Adefarasin paid tribute to the artistes who have contributed to the platform’s growth, describing them as more than ministers, but family.
He said their consistency and generosity have moulded The Experience in ways that numbers cannot fully express.
He announced the addition of three performers to the TE20 lineup: Pastor Tolu Odukoya, Gaise Baba and returning artiste Solomon Lange.
“Today, we are pleased to welcome Pastor Tolu Odukoya and Gaise Baba into the family, and to warmly welcome back Solomon Lange. Solomon’s return, after a long absence, is meaningful in a year when we are bringing our entire community together once again”, he said.
Speaking on the significance of the 20-year milestone, he described it as evidence of growth and divine enablement.
“It demonstrates the resilience of God’s grace, and of a nation that, despite its challenges, continues to unite, celebrate and rise together,” he said.
Unveiling this year’s theme, “Jesus United,” the Convener said unity must be intentional.
“Unity does not happen by chance. It is deliberate. Our most profound unity is found in him, in shared purpose, shared grace, and shared responsibility for one another,”he added.
He also extended appreciation to partners, government agencies, medical and safety teams, technical crews, production professionals and the dream team.
