The Shuttle Time Clinic served off on Wednesday, at Ilisan Community Town Hall in Ikenne Local Government Area of Ogun State..

 

Secondary Schools Physical Education (PE) teachers and some of their students were in attendance as officials of the Badminton Federation of Nigeria (BFN) trained them on how to play the game.

 

A total number of 12 secondary schools participated on the first day of the clinic.

 

They include: Aunty Fola Group of Schools (Ilisan), Al-Lateef Muslim College (Ilisan), Christ Apostolic Grammar School (Iperu), Regal New Heights (Sagamu), Isanbi Model College (Ilisan), Highbrow College (Ilisan), Mayflower Schools (Ikenne), Dee Unique College (Ilisan), Ilisan High School (Ilisan), Methodist Comprehensive College (Sagamu), Community Grammar School (Ode Remo), and Isanbi Comprehensive High School (Ilisan). 

 

BFN officials trained the school teachers in the fitness and skills of the game so that they can replicate the same to the students.

 

The Shuttle Time Clinic is being organized by the BFN and powered by Community Sports and Educational Development (CSED) to provide a platform for discovering truly young talents.

 

It also aims at allowing students to develop an interest and acquire the basic skills and techniques needed for the game of badminton.

 

The clinic will end on Thursday with the final day where the CSED Initiative will offer equipment which include rackets, nets, and shuttlecocks, to the participating schools.
