Equatorial Guinea are almost assured of a place in the knockout stage after their 4-2 defeat of Guinea Bissau. The massive win takes them to the top of the log in Group A ahead of the blockbuster clash of Super Eagles and Cote d’Ivoire.
Even if either of the two overtakes Equatorial Guinea, with four points and five goals so far, they will certainly scale the group hurdle either as leaders, runners up or one of the best third placed team.
