At the official draws for the football events of the African Games next month, the Nigerian teams have been drawn into groups B in the men’s and women’s categories.

 

With the men’s event featuring nine teams which had to include the hosts, Ghana who did not make the cut of last eight teams at the U-20 Africa Cup of Nations last year, the Group B in which Nigeria falls into, has five teams.

 

The five teams are: Nigeria, South Sudan, Senegal, Uganda and Tunisia, In Group A are Ghana, The Gambia, Benin Republic, and Congo.

In the women’s event, Ghana again leads Group A which also comprise of Tanzania, Uganda and Ethiopia.

 

In Group B are Nigeria, Senegal, Cameroon and Morocco. The African Games will hold in Accra, Ghana from 8 March to 23 March 2024.
