Remo Stars who narrowly missed being crowned as Nigeria’s champions earlier this month at the NPL Championship play-off have proved their mettle once again.
At the play-off of the Naija Super 8 for the South West ticket, they eliminated their South West rivals, Shooting Stars by 3-0 at the Eket Stadium on Friday.
They became the second club to book a place at the Super 8 after Lobi Stars eliminated City FC 4-3 on penalties after 2-2 draw.
Remo Stars from the beginning showed their worth and pay-off line of ‘We Are Remo Stars’ as they opened the game in a blistering pace.
They made hays early as lanky Andy Okpe scored within seven minutes of the game. Boniface Nwaeze and Samuel Anaekwe completed the rout to make it 3-0 against 3SC.
