Tough for them, but they prevailed. Remo Stars  go into the Nigeria Premier League as champions after prevailing in a table-top contest with Lobi Stars.

The Ikenne side won 2-0 late into the game as Sikiru Alimi, leading scorer, put in the first goal almost on the dot of regulation time after both sides had had close misses.

He scored with a header from Adams Olamilekan’s corner kick.

While celebrations were on, Lobi Stars disputed the goal and club official and former international as well as ex-NFF board member ordered the Lobi Stars out of the field.

With some of the players walking out, Iorfa was later persuaded to continue with the game.

By then, there had been added time of seven minutes following spate of stoppages occasioned by Lobi Stars time-wasting tactics.

With a minute to end the added time, Adams Olamilekan put in the back breaking goal that confirmed Remo Stars win of their last home match this year.
