The 4-0 aggregate scores that Wydad Athletic Club inflicted on Enyimba in the African Football League may not be exceptional.
The Moroccan outfit appears to have a penchant of dealing heavy blows on the lead Nigerian clubs. In the past one year, no Nigerian club has been able to beat Wydad.
Last year, they held Rivers United to 2-2 draw at home and then spelt the club’s name with goals in the return leg in Morocco. That was on 22 October 2022.
Barely a year later, Wydad walloped Enyimba home and away.
