And the upset continues at the Africa Cup of Nations! Brave Warriors of Namibia lived up to their nickname as they battled the mighty Tunisia, beating team 1-0 to create even a more severe upset that the earlier 2-1 defeat of Ghana by Cape Verde. It is the first time Namibia have won an Africa Cup of Nations match.

Namibia have lost seven of their nine matches at the CAF Africa Cup of Nations. The other two were drawn and now on their 10th match, they have won and against a big team.

 

Deon Hotto popped up with an 89th-minute header from close range in Monday’s Group E opener for the impressive Brave Warriors, who continued a theme of upsets during the initial stages of the Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
