Cynosure of all eyes, Tobi Amusan returned a time of 12.48 seconds to come first in Heat 5 of the women’s 100 m hurdles at the World Athletics Championship in Budapest on Tuesday.

She therefore qualified for the semi-finals of the race. Her time of 12.48 seconds is the third fastest in all the five Heats.

The fastest time was returned by  America’s Kendra Harrison in Heat 3. She returned at 12.24 seconds.  Harrison was followed by Bahama’s Devynne Charlton who returned after 12.44 seconds.
