The  Super Eagles are back on a familiar terrain, the semi-finals of the Africa Cup of Nations after a hard-fought 1-0 defeat of Angola on Friday night.

It is Nigeria’s 16th time in the semi-finals. Poor Angola, they still have to look for another time to get to the semi-finals for first time.

For Nigeria, great thanks once again to Ademola Lookman whose 41st minute rocket shot rifled to the back of the Angola net.

Another goal by hard fighting Victor Osimhen was chalked off for a marginal offside.

The Super Eagles have thus ensured that they score in every match and can boast of one of the best defence in the tournament having conceded just one goal.

They now await the winners of the Cape Verde South Africa quarter finals holding on Saturday.
